Robinia pseudoacacia
False acacia also known as the black locust is one of the heaviest nectar and sugar producing trees for insects. Their flowers are sometimes used to flavour wine. We are premium suppliers and planters of the False Acacia Tree.
The False acacia is a fast-growing medium size deciduous tree that comes into leaf late in the spring. The leaves appear dark-green with light-green undersides at the end of May.
The bark of False acacia is deeply grooved, greyish-brown in colour and the branches have sharp thorns.
Fragrant, scented, creamy-white pendulous flower clusters, bloom in June and are followed by reddish-brown, flat leathery pods that remain on the tree over the winter months.
The leaves of False acacia turn yellow in the autumn and hold on to the branches well before falling during November.
We provide full planting services for False Acacia Trees which includes supply, delivery and installation.
