Portuguese laurel is an impressive evergreen hedge, native to Spain and Portugal. In spring the new leaf growth is very attractive, oblong and light glossy green, turning dark glossy green.

Portuguese laurel hedges have average growth rates, they are adaptable to most soil types as long as they are dry to moist and well-draining. Portuguese laurel can be positioned in sun or partial shaded locations.

Creamy-white, upright flower clusters appear in June.
