Tolerates most soil types and UK locations, one of the easiest hedges to maintain. Wildlife friendly but not suitable for livestock paddocks.

Nectar-rich fragrant, cream-white flowers appear in June and July. Very attractive to bees, butterflies and other flying insects.

Can be planted in most well-drained substrates but excels in chalk, alkaline pH soils. Oval-leaf instant hedges are tough enough to tolerate exposed inland and coastal locations.
